Own experience, but I guess it depends on which staff are working when you visit! Also the weekday we went also wasn’t busy so I don’t know if that makes a difference in their customer service. Honestly I didn’t have high expectations for the food though and just thought it was going to be aesthetically pleasing. The menu is quite confusing - you actually have to order a 2 course meal minimum. Some dishes have extra costs and you also have to pay extra for sides. I had the calamari with peppers as a starter (this calamari isn’t battered like normally) and loved it.
Several times about our allergies, and agreed via phone and e-mail that each person would have a choice of a two- or three-course meal from the à la carte menu. We arrived at a scheduled reservation only to find that our table was not yet ready. It took 40 minutes(!) before the table was clear and ready, and we barely even received an apology for this. Once we were seated, a waiter who was clearly irritated with something arrived to take orders. He for some reason said that we were all having a set three-course meal, upon which I informed him that this was not what was previously agreed upon. He needed to "check with management" or some such thing before he came back and agreed, but then gave us a menu which was much more restricted than the one available online.

We're talking around minutes between clearing one dish and receiving the next. The bill took so long to arrive we ended up walking over to them and paying there. And this was in a less than half-full restaurant... We literally spent most of our night waiting for service which was also given with horrible attitude.

My friend has coeliac disease, which is a strict form of gluten allergy, and which the restaurant was informed of multiple times in advance of our arrival. The waiter was absolutely clueless on what gluten was or which dishes she could or could not have, and we had to send him back to the kitchen multiple times to check. Needless to say, she did not feel quite secure about her order or her food. However, the wait between dishes, for drinks, and even for the check, was RIDICULOUS.
Aside from his 30-year sentence, Kelly must also pay a $100,000 fine. I loved not feeling any pressure while I was looking for a couch! Ideas were brought up to me that I hadn't even considered. Slow service, at our table for 2 hours and only asked for drinks on arrival. Food menu is misleading - every main and side occurs an additional cost (not the 2 courses for €39 as expected. Decor is cute, DJ was playing on the night... Meanwhile, on Monday, the singer-songwriter opened up about experiencing the holidays solo as a single mom with her guest Jewel. Very slow service and an inconsiderate, uninformed management. We didn't have the best initial impressions due to the dirty cutlery, but we decided to give it a shot... They give you water first, then the drinks menu, and then the main menu.
Until recently we lived there ourselves and it is beautifully decorated . Additionally, the location and view is exceptional. Eefje is a interior decorator, which you can clearly see... I’m from London and travelled to Amsterdam for good vibes and good food.

I wish I’d read the reviews on here before travelling across town to come here. I won’t be recommending it to my friends who live here either. NOT stated on the website) we asked to get a table inside but they made us feel that we are doing something wrong and asking for something unacceptable even though the place was Empty. So we could go to any other restaurant with a terrace without paying double price for food.
Friend had the cheesecake and said it was ‘just ok’ and nothing special. I really enjoyed the food, despite the steak mishap, and the staff that night were very friendly to us. The price is on the more expensive side but I’ve had much more expensive for a lot lower quality.
